This month Whitmore Charter hosted a Rock Your School assembly! K-8 students gathered in the cafeteria and promoted positive school culture through performances and interactive games!
It was #FallFestival at the Ken Moncrief Agriculture Center! Central Valley High School students welcomed elementary students from across the district, leading fun and interactive activities about all things agriculture. This event is an annual favorite that takes a village to coordinate. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success! For more photos, please visit our Facebook page. 🎃🌱🐮🚜 #TheCeresWay
Because the State does not provide complete or reliable funding for facilities, schools cannot maintain safe learning environments that meet current instructional standards without a local funding source. In order to complete identified repairs and improvements across all school sites, the CUSD Board of Trustees is considering placing a local bond measure on the ballot next year for local voters to consider. Monday, Oct. 30 is a non-student day as our staff engage in district-wide professional learning. We’ll look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday, Oct. 31. 🎃
🚧 Traffic Advisory ⚠️
We have been notified by the City of Ceres that westbound Service Road will be closed immediately west of the Morgan Road intersection, in front of the new AM/PM, on Oct. 30-31. The Service/Morgan intersection will remain open, but the City is asking motorists in the area to expect delays, follow detour signage, and slow through construction zones. Westbound Service Road will reopen on Nov. 1.

During today's Association of California School Administrators Women in School Leadership Forum, Dr. Denise Wickham accepted the award for Exemplary Woman in Education for the State of California. In addressing the audience, Dr. Wickham acknowledged, "I couldn't have imagined – as the daughter of an immigrant dairyman who milked cows alongside my dad and brother before the bus came to pick me up for school every morning – that college could be in my future. ... And never, in my wildest dreams, did this moment seem possible." Congrats, Dr. Wickham! 🎉🏆✨ #DreamItDoIt #LadiesWhoLead #TheCeresWay
